a short history of LabelOnce erasable labels

LabelOnce inventor Steve Cates first introduced his erasable labels at an industry gathering in January 1989. The product name was Cates erasable labels. The place was MacWorld Expo in San Francisco's Moscone Center. His initial label product was for 3.5" floppy disks. A few months later the word LabelOnce was selected as the trademark. In the December 1989 issue of MacUser magazine, LabelOnce was named one of the Top 20 computer accessories. Since that time the LabelOnce brand expanded to include file folder labels, food container labels, hanging file folder tabs, and many more.
